Polpo Cookie Policy
Effective from 05.10.2026.
1. General provisions
1.1. This Cookie Policy (the "Cookie Policy") describes the records that the Polpo service, which comprises the polpo.by website and the application on it (the "Service"), stores in the browser of a person using the Service (the "User"). A cookie is a small record that a website stores in the browser. The Service also stores data in the browser's storage (localStorage, IndexedDB) in order to work without an internet connection.

2. Necessary records
2.1. The following records are stored without the User's consent, as without them signing in to the Service and the functions opened by the User cannot work:

3. Yandex Metrica
3.1. Yandex Metrica works only on the home page and in the blog, and only after the User has clicked "Accept all" in the cookie banner. Yandex Metrica is not used in the application. It makes it possible to assess how many visitors come to the website, where they come from and which articles they read.
3.2. Yandex Metrica receives page addresses, including the addresses of pages from which the User came to the website, information about link clicks, the browser and the device, and the IP address. Screen activity is not recorded. The data are received by YANDEX LLC (Russia) and, for visitors to whom the GDPR applies, by a Yandex company in the UAE. Russia is included in the list of foreign states with an adequate level of protection of the rights of personal data subjects approved by the National Personal Data Protection Center of the Republic of Belarus; the UAE is not included in it: UAE data protection law does not apply to public authorities, and there is no independent supervisory authority.
3.3. Yandex Metrica stores its own cookies and records in the browser's storage. Records that distinguish visitors are kept for one year, service records for one hour to two years. Records in the browser's storage are kept until the User clears the site data.
4. Refusing cookies
4.1. The User may:
- click "Necessary only" in the cookie banner; the Service then works in full;
- withdraw previously given consent: click "Cookie settings" at the bottom of this page and turn off statistics;
- delete cookies in the browser settings or install the Yandex browser add-on that blocks Yandex Metrica.
4.2. The browser's Do Not Track signal does not change any settings by itself: Yandex Metrica is enabled only by clicking "Accept all" in the cookie banner.
5. Changes to the Cookie Policy
5.1. The date of the current version is stated at the beginning of the Cookie Policy. If new records requiring consent appear, the cookie banner will ask for consent again.
